On our own behalf

Urban & Vogel has been attending and supporting the journal Klinische Neuroradiologie (since one year Clinical Neuroradiology) for more than ten years as a publisher. Thereby, we also follow the development and activities of neuroradiology with great interest. We are well aware that this discipline has substantially gained more importance over the last years. Neuroscience is one of the most important fields in research, and neuroradiology is part of it.

We as a publisher have recognized this importance and support the editors of Clinical Neuroradiology to publish neuroradiological science on an international level. Last year, Urban & Vogel therefore has decided to honour every year the best published original article in Clinical Neuroradiology. The winner is exclusively chosen by you, our readers, who can send their vote to the publisher by a fax form. This year, we for the first time award this price according to your votes. We are happy to announce that you have chosen the paper "Qualitative Perfusion-Computed Tomography and Vasospasm-Related Infarction after Subarachnoid Hemorrhage". This study received the majority of votes (27%).

We will announce this award in 2007 again and therefore encourage you to submit original articles for publication in Clinical Neuroradiology. There are no restrictions in age, discipline or nationality.

We would like to thank all authors who submitted papers to Clinical Neuroradiology in 2006, and we are happy to see an increasing number of papers submitted. Moreover, we thank all who gave their vote for this price. (As a thank you to those submitting their vote to the publisher ten complimentary book prizes have been awarded by a drawing.) In the future, we would like to continue publishing excellent scientific papers in Clinical Neuroradiology and to make this journal more attractive for neuroradiology and related fields.
