Subscribers’ Vote for the Best Original Contribution of the Year 2006 Published in “Clinical Neuroradiology”

In the beginning of this year the concept and title of “Klinische Neuroradiologie” was changed to “Clinical Neuroradiology”, and meanwhile this is the fourth and last issue of this journal in 2006. The aim of this change was to open the journal to a broader, international community and also to extend the readership and authorship. In the first line these efforts address young neuroradiologists. We are convinced that there are many excellent young colleagues and we want to offer them a platform to exchange their experience and publish their research on an international level.

It is the goal of the three societies, the editor, and also the Urban & Vogel publishing house to make the journal more attractive for both readers and authors on an international level. The particular interest of the Urban & Vogel publishing house is demonstrated (apart from excellent support) by the award of the best original contribution of the year published in “Clinical Neuroradiology”. This price, donated by the publisher is supposed to encourage colleagues to submit their scientific work to the journal.

The publisher and the editor do not elect the price themselves but ask the subscribers to vote for this price.

  • In this issue of the journal you find a fax form on page (7) with which you can vote.
  • The deadline for submission of your voting is the 15th of January 2007.
  • The authors of the elected original contribution receive 2,000 €, donated by Urban & Vogel. Their paper will also be freely available on the homepage of the journal (www.clinical-neuroradiology.org).

Besides, the voters can benefit from the price: among all participants at the election ten will be drawn by lot who can choose any book of a list which is shown on the fax form also. Please mark the book of your choice with a cross.

We ask you for your support for this award to meet a fair decision. Moreover, your critique and suggestions concerning the editorial work of “Clinical Neuroradiology” is highly welcome to improve the journal and to make it more attractive for the international community.
